She has covered sports in several of the biggest media outlets across the world. Her time working at The Washington Post was spent with several Olympics, Grand Slam Tennis along with basketball, football and other sports. Nichols started a nine-year period with ESPN which saw her win the two Emmy Awards, and featured on a number of the network's best programs, including NFL Countdown and SportsCenter. She has also worked for TBS as a reporter for golf and baseball broadcasts. CBS broadcasted the Final Four. This is only the second nomination in 42 years of the honor for a female from the more than 200 nominees candidates.
